Where is the application?
Look under the grey dropdown box and select the semester you are going to do your internship.
When does the internship application open?
It opens with registration dates.
When does the application close?
Check with your Internship Coordinator, most applications will close by the add/drop deadline of the semester.
Does the internship class fill up?
No, there is no cap on the internship class.
Will I need an add code?
No, you should not. The application acts like the add code. If you do have problems registering after you been approved first reach out to enrollment services to make sure there are no problems with your account, then reach out to your internship coordinator if you need further assistance. Double check you have met all the pre-requisites for the class.
Do I need to put a faculty mentor?
No, put one if you have one.
What dates do I put?
Put the dates of the internship, they should fit within the semester dates. Talk to your Internship coordinator if they do not fit into the semester dates. You are not approved to work and count internship hours before the approval.
Where do I put how many credits I want for my internship?
You will put the TOTAL hours you will be working through the internship/semester. The internship coordinator will put the credits that related to the hours. 42-45 hours is equal to 1 credit. Most internship require 3 credits (126-135 hours).
What is the internship agreement?
The internship agreement is between the internship Provider and BYU, the Internship Coordinator will make sure that agreement is made and attach it to your internship application. You can read more about the Provider Internship Agreement here: Internship Providers
