Research the company’s mission and goals.

When seeking an internship with a company that does not have an internship opening listed, it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have a spot for you. Create a brief professional email to describe what kind of experience you are seeking and why you want to gain it there. Tell them about your path, goals, and skills you can offer them. Tell them what you are hoping to gain in an internship with them. Explain your internship requirements (hours, length of time, etc.). Attach a resume.

When accepting the internship remember you are commiting to the semester with this Organization, so be ready for that commitment. Discuss your expected schedule and work load. Ask specific questions about what your day to day will look like so you are informed of all the expectations you will have before officially accepting.
